Just Imagine-Best Witches for a Safe and Happy Halloween
Jacqui Fishman
This Halloween won’t be a traditional Trick or Treat to say the least. In most cities and towns Halloween has either been cancelled or scaled back. Halloween, however, can be more than candy corn and pumpkins. Some of our favorite Halloween memories are all about what we were going as for Halloween! What would our costume be? Who would we dress up to be? Whose shoes would we walk in for even one night? What a great time to “Just Imagine” Halloween is such a fun time to jump in and try on a role that we can aspire to follow. Think about some of our favorite SHEroes from books and movies we love…characters who inspire us to dream big. How fun to dress up and be that girl! We love the great collection from A Mighty Girl from books and movies that portray smart, independent powerful girls!
Of course everyday is a great day to celebrate women’s history but Halloween is a terrific time to learn more about the amazing women who have made their mark and shaped our history and to create costumes that reflect women we admire. Be inspired and empowerd by the stories os so many women who blazed a bright trail for us all to emulate and aspire toward. The National Women’s History Musuem created some super fun and easy ideas that you can create at home to celebrate women’s history. We love these ideas and the chance to use this time to discover women’s history and “Just Imagine” what these amazing women experienced and to be inspired by their legacies.
No, this Halloween may not be a traditional one, but we can use Halloween to explore, learn and try on who we want to be!! Have a creative, fun, imaginative and very safe Halloween and remember This Girl Can! be anything she imagines!.
